1 Study Session Topic
a) City Manager Shawn Lewis, Police Chief Sam Watson, and Director of Public
Works Maria D'Andrea were present to discuss potential ballot questions
related to taxation.
b) Director of Public Works Maria D'Andrea was present to review the draft
recommendations & early action plan from the Santa Fe (US 85) Planning and
Environmental Linkage Study.
c) Director of Public Works Maria D'Andrea was present to discuss the Organized
Garbage & Recycling Collection Initiative. City Council reached consensus to
postpone the discussion for the Organized Garbage & Recycling Collection
Initiative to the May 9, 2022 Study Session so that all Council members could
be present.

The regular meeting of the Englewood City Council was called to order by Mayor
Sierra at 7:04 p.m.

6 Appointments, Communications, Proclamations, and Recognition
a) The Director of Parks, Recreation, and Library Christina Underhill introduced
the new Library and Cultural Arts Manager Beth Lafferty.
b) Director of Community Development Brad Power introduced the new Planning
Manager Bryan Isham.
c) Director of Community Development Brad Power, Economic Development
Manager Darren Hollingsworth, and Community Development Department
Administrator Nancy Fenton were recognized for receiving the 2022
Governor's Award Winner - The Road to Recovery: The City of Englewood's
Economic Recovery Response to COVID-19.
d) Director of Community Development Brad Power was present to discuss a
non-profit transportation planning organization, Transportation Solutions
Arapahoe County, that focuses on the needs of seniors, the disabled, and low-
income residents.
e) Public Service Recognition Proclamation - presented by City Manager Shawn
Lewis.
A Proclamation Declaring the first week of May, in the City of Englewood,
Public Service Recognition Week in the City of Englewood as read into the
record.
f) Asian American and Pacific Islander Recognition Proclamation - presented by
Mayor Sierra.
A Proclamation Declaring May, in the City of Englewood, Asian American and
Paci Islander Heritage Month, as read into the record.

approve Consent Agenda Item 9(b)(i-iv) and 9(c)(ii).
