HomeMy WebLinkAbout2022-05-02 (Regular) Meeting Minutes MINUTES City Council Regular Meeting Monday, May 2, 2022 1000 Englewood Parkway - 2nd Floor Council Chambers 6:00 PM 1 Study Session Topic a) City Manager Shawn Lewis, Police Chief Sam Watson, and Director of Public Works Maria D'Andrea were present to discuss potential ballot questions related to taxation. b) Director of Public Works Maria D'Andrea was present to review the draft recommendations & early action plan from the Santa Fe (US 85) Planning and Environmental Linkage Study. c) Director of Public Works Maria D'Andrea was present to discuss the Organized Garbage & Recycling Collection Initiative. A Proclamation Declaring the first week of May, in the City of Englewood, Public Service Recognition Week in the City of Englewood as read into the record. f) Asian American and Pacific Islander Recognition Proclamation - presented by Mayor Sierra. A Proclamation Declaring May, in the City of Englewood, Asian American and Paci Islander Heritage Month, as read into the record. Moved by Council Member Nunnenkamp seconded by Council Member Anderson to approve Consent Agenda Item 9(b)(i-iv) and 9(c)(ii). a) Approval of Ordinances on First Reading There were no Ordinances on First Reading (See agenda Item 11(a)(i).) b) Approval of Ordinances on Second Reading. i) CB 04 – Authorize Agreements to relocate City Ditch at C-470 and US- 85 ORDINANCE NO. 21 SERIES OF 2022 (COUNCIL BILL NO. 4 INTRODUCED BY COUNCIL MEMBER WOODWARD). AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AN EASEMENT AGREEMENT WITH THE SECRETARY OF THE ARMY AND AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT (IGA) WITH DOUGLAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS, REGARDING RELOCATION OF ENGLEWOOD CITY DITCH (DUE TO RECONSTRUCTION OF US 85). ii) CB 22 - Amending Section 15-6-1 of Englewood Municipal Code regarding growing weeds ORDINANCE NO. 22 SERIES OF 2022 (COUNCIL BILL NO. 22 INTRODUCED BY COUNCIL MEMBER NUNNENKAMP). AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 15-6-1 OF ENGLEWOOD MUNICIPAL CODE REGARDING GROWING WEEDS. iii) CB 23 - Repealing Section 5-3D-7 regarding Medical Marijuana License Bond ORDINANCE NO. 23 SERIES OF 2022 (COUNCIL BILL NO. 23 INTRODUCED BY COUNCIL MEMBER NUNNENKAMP). AN ORDINANCE REPEALING SECTION 5-3D-7 REGARDING MEDICAL MARIJUANA LICENSE BOND, TO REFLECT ELIMINATION OF BOND UNDER STATE LAW. iv) CB 24 - Intergovernmental Agreement amendment to increase funding for the US-285 & S.
