The regular meeting of the Englewood City Council was called to order by Mayor
Olson at 7:09 p.m.

The invocation was given by Council Member Martinez.

a) City Council Recognition and Swearing in
The Mayor asked the City Clerk to announce the status of the election.
City Clerk Carlile announced the Unofficial Election Results provided by
Arapahoe County, The newly elected Council Members are: Council Member
District 1 Othoniel Sierra, Council Member District 3 Joe Anderson, Council
Member Rita Russell at Large and Council Member at Large John Stone.

There were comments and recognition of families and guests by the departing
members of City Council.
Council recessed at 7:25 p.m. for a brief reception
The meeting reconvened at 8:06 p.m.
The newly-elected District 1 City Council Member Othoniel Sierra, District 3
City Council Member Joe Anderson, At Large City Council Member Rita
Russell and At Large City Council Member John Stone were sworn in by the
Honorable Judge Joe Jefferson.
Members of City Council were seated (in temporary spaces) and Mayor Olson
asked the City Clerk to call the roll of City Council Members.

Greater Englewood Chamber of Commerce were present to accept the
Proclamation.
c) Volunteer Recognition for the 2019 Block Party
Toni Arnoldy, Community Relations Coordinator, presented certificates to the
2019 Englewood Block Party Volunteers.

7 Recognition of Scheduled Public Comment
a) Elaine Hults, an Englewood resident, was scheduled to address Council but
was not present.
b) Doug Cohn, an Englewood resident, addressed Council regarding Englewood
history.
8 Recognition of Unscheduled Public Comment
a) Ida May Nicholl, an Englewood resident, addressed Council regarding
recognition of past Council Members and congratulating new Council
Members.
b) Helen Driscoll, an Englewood resident, addressed Council regarding short term
rentals.
c) Aaron Reid, an Englewood resident, addressed Council regarding the Fire
Department's amazing job.

a) Mayor's Choice
Mayor Olson motioned to include on the November 25th Study Session a
discussion to explore a temporary fix for the housing problems people have in
severe weather and an exploration of housing if the future.
Discussion ensued.
No vote was taken.
Council reached a consensus to add this item to the Study Session of
November 25, 2019.
