Moved by Council Member Rick Glllit Seconded by Council Member Steve Yates TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF NOVEMBER 6, 2017. Acting City Clerk Carlile accepted Council Member Martinez verbal vote in support of the motion. Acting City Clerk Carlile said, based on the Unofficial Election Results provided by Arapahoe County, the newly elected Council Members are: Council Member District 2 Linda Olson, Council Member District 4 Dave Cuesta, and Council Member At-Large Cheryl Wink. ii) City Council made a determination of the election and qualifications of its membership. Moved by Council Member Rick Gillit Seconded by Council Member Steve Yates MOTION TO ACCEPT THE ELECTION RESULTS AS PRESENTED BY ACTING CITY CLERK CARLILE. Acting City Clerk Carlile accepted Council Member Martinez verbal vote in support of the motion. The meeting reconvened at 8:20 p.m; Members of City Council were seated (in temporary spaces) and Mayor Jefferson asked the City Clerk to call the roll of City Council Members. Moved by Council Member Linda Olson Seconded by Council Member Cheryl Wink MOTION FOR A CONTINUANCE TO CHOSE THE MAYOR PRO TEM UNTIL ALL SEVEN MEMBERS ARE SEA TED. COUNCIL MEMBER LINDA OLSON WITHDREW HER MOTION. Moved by Council Member Linda Olson MOTION TO NOMI NA TE COUNCIL MEMBER AMY MARTINEZ FOR THE OFFICE OF MAYOR PRO TEM OF THE CITY OF ENGLEWOOD. The meeting recessed to reset voting panels and nameplates at 7:53 p.m. The meeting reconvened at 7:55 p.m. with all six members present (Council Member Amy Martinez was absent). x) The newly-elected/re-elected Members of City Council recognized their families and guest present. 6 Recognition of Scheduled Public Comment a) Kathleen Bailey, an Englewood resident, addressed Council regarding health and safety. b) c) d) e) f) Elaine Hults, an Englewood resident, addressed Council regarding behavior and the rules. Jim Woodward, an Englewood resident, addressed Council regarding the recent election and upcoming decisions. · Coween Dickerson, an Englewood resident, addressed Council regarding the oath of City Council members to serve the citizens. Ida May Nicholl, an Englewood resident, addressed Council regarding the history of the Gothic Theater. Doug Cohn, an Englewood resident, addressed Council regarding historic preservation. 7 Recognition of Unscheduled Public Comment a) Beth Borman, an Englewood resident, addressed Council regarding the process for Mayor selection. b) Scott Gilbert, an Englewood resident, addressed Council regarding Englewood going forward. c) Aaron Reid, an Englewood resident, addressed Council regarding Mayor selection.
