Call to Order The regular meeting of the Englewood City Council was called to order by Mayor Penn at 7 :35 p.m. 2 . Invocation The invocation was given by Council Member Mccaslin . 3 . Pledge of Allegiance The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Council Member Mccaslin. 4 . Roll Call Present: Absent: Council Members G illit, Mccaslin, Wilson, Yates , Penn Council Members Jefferson, Olson A quorum was present. Consideration of Minutes of Previous Session (a) COUNCIL MEMBER WILSON MOVED, AND COUNCIL MEMBER McCASLIN SECONDED , TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF NOVEMBER 17, 2014. Vote results: Motion carried . Ayes : Council Members Yates, Mccaslin, Wilson , Penn, Gillit Nays: None Absent: Council Members Jefferson, Olson Recognition of Scheduled Public Comment (a) Cassie Young, an Englewood small business owner, was not present to address Council about her experiences working with the City. Communications, Proclamations and Appointments (a) An email from Laura Phelps Rogers announcing her resignation from the Cultural Arts Commission was considered . COUNCIL MEMBER WILSON MOVED, AND COUNCIL MEMBER YATES SECONDED, TO ACCEPT THE RESIGNATION OF LAURA PHELPS ROGERS FROM THE CULTURAL ARTS COMMISSION. Vote results: Motion carried . Ayes: Council Members Yates, Mccaslin, Wilson, Penn, Gillit Nays: None Absent: Council Members Jefferson, Olson (b) A proclamation declaring December 10 , 2014 "Sock It To 'Em Work Day" was cons idered . COUNCIL MEMBER GILLIT MOVED, AND COUNCIL MEMBER WILSON SECONDED, TO APPROVE A PROCLAMATION DECLARING DECEMBER 10, 2014 "SOCK IT TO 'EM WORK DAY". Vote results: Motion carried. (c) Resolutions and Motions (i) Acting Assistant Chief Fox presented a recommendation from the Fire Department to adopt a resolution authorizing the application for a Federal Emergency Management Agency Assistance to Firefighters Grant award for the purchase of replacement portable radios , mobile radios and a base station radios . COUNCIL MEMBER YATES MOVED, AND COUNCIL MEMBER GILLIT SECONDED, TO APPROVE AGENDA ITEM 11 (c) (i) -RESOLUTION NO. 83, SERIES OF 2014. RESOLUTION NO . 83, SERIES OF 2014 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE APPLICATION FOR A FEMA ASSISTANCE TO FIREFIGHTERS GRANT (AFG) AWARD TO THE CITY OF ENGLEWOOD, COLORADO. Vote results: Motion carried .
