For over 20 yea rs , th e Englewood Publi c Lib rary h2s provided it s "Food lor Fine s" program as a way

of non-perishable roo d it ems tha t are, in tu rn, iorward ed l o Inter-Fai th Community Se rvi ce s for their
foo d ban k for dis tribu ti o n to finan ci all y di s~,dva nt agcd fami lies in th e Englewood area. TI1e
max imum fine accr ual is $5.00 per item, and the librar, requ ires a donation of two non-pe rishab le
food It ems t o ca nce l o ne o ve rdue fine . Lha rges for lost or dam aged II ems are not included ,n II11 s
program . Thi s program has been warm ly r eceived an d su pp o rt ed by the public since its in cepllon,
and library pa trons now look forward to it as a way of he lping oth ers w hil e re lieving th eir own
