Sh e discussed the timing ol the activation of lhe traHic light and the design approprialeness ol tha t light. She was concerned with construction traffi c using the light off of Un iversily and no t usinr, the Hampden access . She read a statement declaring the; 1nivers1ty oorth of the p•oject is not a desig nated tru ck route and trucks are nol pcrm,t!ed to turn left from northbound Univers ity into lhe site unti' a tratric lighl is installed Another statement from Arapahoe County stated that they wilt continue to deny the consI ruc l ion access wilhout an operationa l signal. Ms. Staller do es ne t want the li ght acli\'1ted during lhc consIruc I10n period She also bel.eves the lights are excessive fo r the intersection . The stop li gh t ,s highly v•si ble al ong wit h the street lig hts , which arc cl ose logethe r , and she is co nce rn ed that ii is over-lit and very bng ht Ms Chaney is con:mned wllh the construction activity during lhe developmen t pha se as well. Pu bl ic W orks Direc lor Kahm re!;ponded to th e concerns of both !;peakers, noting the safe ty issue s being addressed with the lights . Ci ty Manager Sears also provided a respo nse re garding permitting and th e City's limit ations regarding Arapahoe County's involvement and en co •raged □!rector Kahm to furth ur e>:p and his detailed explanation regarding working with Arapahol? County and Denver (c) Gail Axt, an Englewood res ident, asked why one of 'he lights could n ot be taken down , the one lhat backs up 10 the neighborhood . Co uncil responded to Public Comment. 8. Communications, Proclamations and Appointments Englewood City Council Dec,i mber 5, 2011 Pago 3 (a) A letter from Jim Woo:Jward in dicating his resignation from the Englewood Parks and Recrea ti on Commission was considered . COUNCIL MEMBER WILSON MOVED , AND COUNCIL MEMBER McCASLIN SECONDED , TO ACCEPT THE RESIGNATION OF JIM WOODWARD FROM THE ENGLEWOOD PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION. Vote resu Its : Motion carried.
