The previous Cnlleclive aarga ining Agreement with the Englewood Police !lenefit Ass ocia tion was
appro ve d by Council for 20 11 and 20 ·12 in June , 20 10. That agreement specified that the p arti es reopen
negotiation for Article 9 , 'Compensation' on or befo re M ay 1 5, 2011
RECOMMENDED ACTION
Staff requests Council approval of the revised Article 9, 'Compensatio n' of the Collective Bargaining
Agreement between the Englewood Police Berefit Association and the City of Engle•Nood for the years
2011 and 2012 . The contract covers approximately 58 employees .
BACKGROUND, ANALYSIS, AND ALTERNATIVES IDENTIFIED
The City of Englewood and the ~nglewood Police Benefit Association reopened negotiations during May of
2011 in acco1da 11ce with Article 1, 'Duratio n' o ; i he Co llective Bargainin g Agreement. The :nembers of the
Englewood Police Benefit Association dulv ratified by a majority vote the revisions to 6e Collective
Barga ining Agreement. Th e clMni:e to the cormact Is as follows:
• A wage increase of 1.25% over the 20 11 rate will be granted on lanuar)' 1, 2012.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The fin ancial irnpact r,f the 2012 wage ,ncrease will be approximately $53,672.
