HomeMy WebLinkAbout2009 Resolution No. 001• • RESOLITTION NO . / SERIES OF 2009 -- A RESOLlITION DESIGNATING THE BULLETIN BOARD ON THE NORTH SIDE OF THE SECOND FLOOR OF THE ENGLEWOOD CIVIC CENTER AS THE OFFICIAL POSTING PLACE FOR ALL LEGAL NOTICES OF THE CITY OF ENGLEWOOD FOR 2009 . WHEREAS , the "Open Meetings Law", State Statute §24-6-402(2)(c) requires that the public place or p!Accs for posting legal notices shall be designa .cd annually at the local public body's first regular meeting of each ca lendar year; NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCD., OF THE CITY OF ENGLEWOOD, COLORADO, THAT : Section I. The official posting place for all legal notices of the City of Englewood for the year 2009, shall be the Bulletin Board on the north side oftJ-.e second floor of the Englewood Civic Center and such notices shall be posted under the hea:iing "OFFICIAL CITY NOTICES ." RECOMMENDED ACTION Approve a resolution desi gnating th e l •ulletin boa rd on the north side of the seco nd floor of Englewood Civic Center as the Official Posting Place for all Legal Notices of the City of Englewood for 2009 . BACKGROUND, ANALYSIS, AND ALTERNATIVES IDENTIFIED The OPEN MEETINGS LAW, State Statute§ 24-6-402 (2) (c) states th at "a loca l public body shall be deem ed to have given full and timely noti ce if th e notice of the meeting is posted in a designated public place wi thin the boundaries of the loca l public body no less than twe nty-fou r hours prior to the holding of the me eting. The public place or places for posting such notice shall be designaied an nuall y at the loca l p,.blic body's first regu lar meeting of each ca lendar year."
