'!" • • • .. . - ORDI NANCE NO. 34 ~--SERIES OF 1 980 BY AUTHORITY COUNCIL BILL NO. 6 INTRODUCED BY COUNCIL MEMBER HIGDAY AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 51 AND 52, OF ARTICLE V, CHAPTER 2, TITLE-XII, OF ENGLEWOOD MUNICIPAL CODE BY REPEALING THE PROVISION REQUIRING T HE CITY, THROUGH THE CHIEF OF POLICE, TO CAUSE SAID SIDE WALKS TO BE CLEARED OF ICE AND SNOW; AND TO REQUIRE THE REMOVAL OF S NOW BY OWNER, TENANT, OCCUPANT, LESSEE, OR OTHERWISE, WITHIN TWELVE HOURS AFTER THE CESSATION OF ANY SNOWFALL. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ENGLEWOOD, COLORADO: Section 1. That Sections 51 and 52, Article V, entitled "Snow and Ice Remo val ", of Chapter 2, Title XII, of '69 Englewood Municipal Code, is hereby amended to read as follows: 12-2-51: REMOVAL OF ICE AND SNOW IT SHAL L BE UNLAWFUL FOR ANY OWNER, TENANT, LESSEE, OR OCCUP ANT OF ANY LOT, BLOCK, OR PARCEL OF REAL ESTATE WITHIN THE CITY, OR FOR ANY AGENT IN CHARGE OF SUCH PRO PERTY, TO ALLOW ANY SNOW OR ICE TO ACCUMULATE OR REMAI N UPON ANY SIDEWALK CONTIGUOUS TO SUCH PROPERTY FOR LON GER THAN TWELVE (12) HOURS FROM THE TIME OF THE LAST ACC RETION OF SUCH SNOW OR ICE. If such snow or ice is removed into the traveled portion of any street, such snow and ice shall be spread over the surf ace of such street i n such mann e r as to cause the least interference to traffic a nd drainage upon said street. 12-2-52: CITY REMOVE AND COLLECT (Repealed) Introduced, r e ad i n fu ll and passed on first reading on the 2nd day of September, 1980.
