Home My WebLink About1980 Ordinance No. 042~· . t • • • ORDINANCE NO. 42 SERIES OF 198-r-O--- BY AUTHORITY COUNCIL BILL NO. 45 INTRODUCED BY COUNCIL MEMBER HIGDAY AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THREE AGREEMENTS BETWEEN THE CITY OF ENGLEWOOD, COLORADO, AND THE CENTRAL COLORADO LIBRARY SYSTEM REGARDING COURIER SERVICE AND RECIPROCAL BORROWING PROGRAM. WHEREAS, Central Colorado Library System (CCLS) is the Regional Library Service System in which Englewood Public Library participates; and WHEREAS, said CCLS has submitted three agreements to the City of Englewood for continuation of programs currently in effect, which agreements relate to the reciprocal borrow- ing program and courier service; copies of said agreements are attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ENGLEWOOD, COLORADO: Section 1. That the City of Englewood, Colorado, shall enter into three agreements with the Central Colorado Library System, two of which are Letters of Agreement relating to reciprocal borrowing program for the CCLS fiscal year October 1, 1980 through September 30, 1981 (dated October 1, 1980 through December 31, 1980 and January 1, 1981 through September 30, 1981 to comply with the City's fiscal year), and the third of which is a Statement of Intent to participate in the CCLS courier service; said programs generate income for the City and afford Englewood residents direct access to materials owned by participating libraries. Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Englewood, Colorado, hereby authorizes the Mayor of Englewood to subscribe his name to said agreements for and in behalf of the Englewood Public Library and the Director of Finance, ex officio City Clerk-Treasurer,attest the same. The En&levood Public Library will receive $4,274.60 from the System to reimburse the library for net credit transactions for the period described above. In receipt of this payment, the En&levood Public Library shall permit all persona posseasina a library regiatration card fro• any public library in the reciprocal borrovina program to uae the circulatin& collections and services of the ln&lewoo4 Public Library • In turn, all persona holding a public library reaistra tion card of the En,alevood Public Library are entitled to use the circulatina collections and service• of all public libraries participating in the reciprocal borrovina prograa. We underatand the reimbursement to the !nalevood Public Library has been calculated fro• previous transactions incurred from July 1, 1979 through June 30, 1980. Th e libra ry staff will submit monthly reports to the System of their reciprocal borrowina transactions for this program period.
