HomeMy WebLinkAbout1980 Ordinance No. 048. . . • • • BY AUTHORITY ORDINANCE NO . 48 SERIES OF 19 80 COUNCIL BILL NO. ·so INTRODUCED BY COUNCIL MEMBER BRADSHAW AN ORDI ANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 6, TITLE IX, of the '69 ENGLEWOOD MUNICIPAL COD E, BY IMPOSING A ONE-HUNDRED-DOLLAR CLEANUP DEPOSIT ON CH RISTMAS TREE DEALERS; AND INCREASING THE FEE FOR PRIVATE POLICE AND DETECTIVE SERVICES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ENGLEWOOD, COL ORADO. Section 1 . That Subsection (a) (2) of Section 23, Chapter 6, Article II, Title IX, of the '69 E.M.C. relating to direct selling licen ses, is hereby amended to read as follows: 9-6-23 : SPECIFIED BUSI NE SSES; LICENSE REQUIRED "It shall be unlawful for any person to carry on any of the fol lowing enumerated businesses without first having ob tained a license therefor. "The fe e for such license AND THE DEPOSIT, WHEN REQUIRED, shall be payable in the amount specified and for the period specified as foll ows: (a) (2) Christmas Tree Dealers, $10.00 per selling season, TOG ETH ER WITH A "CLEANUP" DEPOSIT OF $100.00. SAID CHRISTMAS TREE DEALERS SHALL AGREE TO RESTORE THE LICENSED PREMISES TO THEIR ORIGINAL CONDITION NO LATER THAN TEN (10) DAYS FOLLOWING DECEMBER 25. IN THE EVENT SAID LICENSEE SHALL FAIL OR REFUSE TO RESTORE SAID PREMISES AS AFORESAID AND THE CITY LICENSE OFFICER SHALL CAUSE A REMOVAL OF ALL DEBRIS AND TO HAVE THE AREA CLEANED IN ORDER THAT IT SHALL BE RESTORED TO ITS FORMER CONDITION PRIOR TO THE SAID LICENSEE'S POSS ESSION OF THE PREMISES, AFTER THE LICENSE OFFICER SHALL HAVE PAID ALL COSTS NECESSARILY INCURRED THEREFOR, HE SHALL RETURN TO THE LICENSEE ANY BALANCE OF THE DEPOSIT REMAINING.
