WHE REAS, The Arapahoe Regional Library District being a s tatutory r e gional library district, organized and f o rme d p u rsuant to Title 24, Article 90, C.R.S. 1973, as amended; and WHEREAS, The City of Englewood operates a public library within its municipal boundaries, and desires to co -op e rate within the district in providing library s erv ice s to district residents according to the terms and conditions set foreh in said agreement and WHERE AS, the parties have contracted previously for a co -o r ti ve app r o a ch to the provision of such library s e vjces . I NO W THERE FORE, be it ordained by the City Council, City o f En gl e wo od, Colorado as follows: Se c ti on 1. That the City of Englewood shall enter into a contrac t with the Arapahoe Regional Library District accord- ing t o the provisions of the written instrument, "Agreement f or Libra ry Services", a copy of said agreement is attached hereto con sisting of two (2) pages, and is herein incorporated by thi s refe rence. Sai d ins ru ~e nt generally provides as follows: (1) The district shall pay to the City of Englewood for the year 1979, fifty-five ($.SS) cents per item circu!ated to County Residents, less items circulated during 1979 to City Residents from the District's Facility. (2) The term of said agreement shall be the year com- mencing January 1, 1979, and ending December 31, 1979. (3) The District shall have access to the City Library Records during regular business hours for the purpose of verifying all f i.gures supplied to the District and the City shall have access to the District Library records for the same purpose. . ,., • • (4) During the term of the agr eeme nt, the City shal l esta blish an d maintain a Bookmobile stop on a once -a-wee k basis to the Alice B. Terry School area. (5) An annua l audi t s hall be made and a review held to verify microfilm records of trans- act· ons , but said verification may be made by other accepted me ans. The result of the annual audi t of transactions occurinq for the term fo the agr c m nt shal l be forwarded forthwith to the parties , but in no event later than June 1, 1980. The District shall support at the cost of said audi t i n an amount not to exceed five-hundred ($500.00) dollars. Section 2. The City Council, The City of Englewood, Colorado, hereby authorizes the Mayor of the City to subscribe his name in said agreement and on behalf of the City Council, The City of Englewood; and, the Director, ex officio City Clerk- Treasurer shall attest the same. Duri ng the an nu al audit of eac h party to this agreement, an audit of one month's l ibrary transa c tions undertaken pursuant to the terms of this agreement shall be reviewed. The month to be r eviewed shall be randomly selected by the auditors, and the review shall be made by veri fying microfilm records of said transactions or by other accepted means • • The re ult of eac h an nua l audit of said transaction! occurring for the term of this ag r eme nt shall be for wa rded forthwith to the other party for its review, but in no e en t later than Jun e 1, 1980.
