ORDINANCE NO. 18 , SERIES OF 1976
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 22.5 AND 22.8 OF THE COMPREHENSIVE
ZON ING ORDINANCE (ORDINANCE NO. 26, SERIES OF 1963, AS AMENDED)
RELAT ING TO TEMPORARY STRUCTURES.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ENGLEWOOD, COLORADO, as follows:
Section 1.
That Section 22. 5 entitled "Supplementary Regulations".
of the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance (Ordinance No. 26, Series
of 1963 , as amended) is hereby amended by adding a new section
22.5 -2 2 to read as follows:
22.5-22 Structures, Temporary -use and term
ALL TEMPORARY STRUCTURES SHALL CONFORM TO
THE OCCUPANCY OR USE FOR THE ZONED DISTRICT IN
WHICH IT IS TO BE LOCATED. SUCH TEMPORARY STRUCTURE
SHALL NOT EXIST FOR A-PERIOD OF MORE THAN SIX CON-
TINUOUS MONTHS UNLESS OTHERWISE APPROVED BY THE
CODE ENFORCEMENT DIVISION FOR A PERIOD NOT TO
EXCEED AN ADDITIONAL SIX MONTHS.
Section 2.
That Section 22.8 entitled "Definitions" of the
Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance (Ordinance No. 26, Series
of 1963 , as amended) is hereby amended to read as follows:
22 .8 Definitions
All words used in this ordinance, except
where specifically defined herein, shall carry
their customary meanings when not inconsistent
with the context. Words used in the present
tense include the future tense; words used in
the future tense include the present tense; and
the plural includes the singular; the word
"building" includes the word "structure"; the
word "shall" is mandatory; the word "may" is
permissive; "occupied" or "uses" shall be con-
sidered as though followed by the words, "or
intended, arranged, or designed to be used or
occupied".

Structures, temporary. A structure which is
built of such materials and in such a way that
it would commonly be expected to have a relatively
short life, or is built for a purpose that would
commonly be expected to be relatively short, OR
ANY STRUCTURE I NT ENDED FOR NONPERMANENT USE OR
OCCUPANCY.
Section 3.
That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Introduced, read in full and passed on first reading
on the 15th day of March, 1976.
Published as a Bill for an Ordinance on the 17th day
of March, 1976.
Read by title and passed on final reading on the
19thday of April, 1976.
Published by title as Ordinance No.
of 1976, on the 21st day of April 4 1976 .
