ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE "UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE,"
1973 EDITION , TO PROVIDE MINIMUM STANDARDS TO PROTECT
PUBLIC HEALTH, WELFARE AND SAFETY; REPEALING ALL ORD-
I A CES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING PENALTIES
FOR VIOLATION THEREOF.
NOW, THE REFOR E , 3E IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COU CIL OF TH E CITY OF E ·~GLE WOOD, COLORADO, as follows:
Section 1.
Tha t Chapter 9 , Title III, of the 1969 E.M.C.
is hereby repealed and reenacted to read as follows:

90032 , together with the appendendices con-
tained therein, with the same force and effect
as if the same were fully set forth herein,
subjec t to the exceptions, modifications and
amendments thereto as hereinafter set forth.
3-9-2 SPECIFIC CHANGES IN ADOPTED CODE
Th followi ng specific changes, modifications
and amendments are hereby made in the provisions
of the Uniform Plumbing Code, 1~73 Edition, here-
inabove adopted:

Sectio n 2.
l. Section 91 , Pag e 68, Uniform Plumbing Code.
Add a sec ond paragraph as follows:
Food Waste Dis poser Mandatory. New structures
arrang c<l or i ntended to be used for purposes
which d evel op food wastes in the direct prep-
arati on o f food in occupancies such as: dwellings,
restaurants, hotels, boarding houses, hospitals
and similar occupancies, shall provide food
waste d isposal equipment for such within the
premises. Exis ting structures converted or
altered to the uses described above need not
meet the requirements of this Section unless
such stru ctures are provided with new facilities
for the above purposes.

Cod e. Add a new paragraph as follows:
Food Waste Disposer Mandatory. New structures
arranged or intended to be used for purposes
which develop food wastes in the direct prep-
aration of food in occupancies such as:
dwelling, restaurants, hotels, boarding houses,
ospitals, and similar occupancies, shall pro-
vide food waste disposal equipment for such
purposes within the premises. Existing
structures converted or altered to the uses
described above need not meet the requirements
of this Section unless such structures are
provided with new facilities for the above
purposes.
Copies of the said Uniform Plumbing Code, 1973
Edition, are available for inspe ction at the Office of
the Director of Fi nance, ex officio City Clerk-Treasurer,
during all regular business hours.

Section 3.
Any violation of the Uniform Plumbing Code,
1973 Edition, from and after the effective date thereof,
shall be punishable by a fine not exceeding Three Hundred
($300.00) Dollars, or imprisonment for a term not exceeding
ninety (90) days, or both such fine and imprisonment.
Section 4.
That all ordinances, and parts of ordinances in
conflict, or inconsistent herewith, are hereby expressly
repealed.
Introduced, read in full and passed on first
reading on the 17th day of March, 1975.
Published as a Bill for an Ordinance on the 20th
day of March, 1975.
Read by title and passed on final reading on the
21st day of April, 1975.
Published by title as Ordinance No .
of 1975, on the 24th day of April, 1975.
