HomeMy WebLinkAbout1975 Ordinance No. 033• • • INTRODUCED AS A BILL BY COUNCILMAN MANN BY AUTH6RITY ORDINANCE NO. 33 , SERIES OF 1975 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 12(d)(5), CHAPTER 10, TITLE V, OF THE E.M.C., BY EXTENDING THE AMOUNT OF TIME IN WHICH THE CITY MANAGER HAS TO RENDER A WRITTEN DECISION ON AN EMPLOYEE GRIEVANCE TO TEN (10) BUSINESS DAYS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ENGLEWOOD, COLORADO, as follows: Section 1. That Section 12(d)(5), Chapter 10 . entitled "Grievances" of Title V of the 1969 E.M.C. is hereby amended to read as follows: 5-10-12 GRIEVANCES (d) Procedure. (5) Within ten (10) business days from receipt of the department head's decision the employee may appeal the decision to the City Manager. The City Manager shall render a written decision within five-ES)TEN {10) BUSINESS days from receipt of employee's grievance. The employee may within twenty (20) days appeal the Manager's decision to the Career Service Commission whose determination thereon shall be final.
