AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 5, CHAPTER 4, TITLE XV OF THE
1969 E .M.C., BY AMENDING A SCHEDULE OF SEWER HEAD TAP FEES
TO BE CHARGED FOR CONNECTION TO SANITARY SEWER MAINS ON THE
ENGLE WOOD SEWERAGE SYSTEM BOTH INSIDE AND OUTSIDE THE CITY'S
CORPORA TE BOUNDARIES.
WHEREAS, the Englewood Water and Sewer Advisory
Board at its regular meeting of June 25, 1974, has made
a recommendation to this Council relative to the amendment
contained herein; and
WHEREAS, the Council having reviewed said recom-
mendation, concurring therein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ENGLEt«>OD, COLORADO:
That Section 5, Chapter 4, Article XV of the 1969
E .. C. is hereby amended as follows:
15-4-5 SEWER HEAD TAP FEES
At the time of filing the application, said appli-
cant sh all pay a sanitary sewer head tap fee as follows:
(a) Inside the corporate limits of the City for
·· ndust rial, comnercial and residential service when sewer mains
are owne d by the City, except when other fees are in effect
y express agreement in existing sewer improvement district,

In the case of new high-rise commercial or industrial con-
struc t i on on property previously connected to the City san-
i tary sewer system and upon which a previous head tap fee
has b een paid, the previous head tap fee shall be credited
against the charge for the current application.

C If, as in the case of certain existing City sewer mains,
the cos t of construction is unknown, thehead tap fee shall be

D. In the case of new multiple family unit use construction
o n prope rty previously connected to the City Sanitary Sewer
System, the head tap f ee shall be $300 per unit, less the
amou n t of head tap fee previously paid.
(A dwelling unit is de f ined as one unit for occupancy by
o ne fam ily for living 'and sleeping purposes)

Head tap fees for all other properties not listed in Schedule
2 shall be determined in accordance with Schedule 1.
(All rates, as set forth herein, are subject to negotiation
and revision for unusual cases)
(b} At the time of filing the application, said
applicant shall pay a sanitary sewer head tap fee for the
connection to the sanitary sewer of any property located
outside t h e corporate limits, for industrial, commercial
and re sidential service, except when other fees are in
effect by express agreement.

Head tap fees for all other properties not listed in Schedule 2
shall be determined as described in Schedule 1 •
Nothing in this document shall be construed so as to unilaterally
alter any of the rates or terms contained in any connectors
agreements existing between the City of Englewood and a san-
itation district.
Introduced, read in full and passed on first reading
on the 1st day of July, 1974.

day of July, 1974.
