HomeMy WebLinkAbout1974 Ordinance No. 043• • • INTRODUCED AS A BILL BY COUNCILHAN SOVERN BY AUTHORITY ORDINANCE NO. ~$ • SERIES OF 1974 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND COUNTY OF DENVER, ACTING BY AND THROUGH ITS BOARD OF WATER COMMISSIONERS AND THE CITY OF ENGLEWOOD, COLORADO, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, RELATING TO DATA PROCESSING OF WATER USAGE SERVICE. WHEREAS, the Board routinely meters and records the water usage of its customers in areas where Englewood provides sewage treatment service; and WHEREAS, Englewood desires to establish a system of charges for sewage treatment service baaed on winter water consumption data. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CY.TY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ENGLEWOOD, COLORADO, as follows: Section 1. That the City of Englewood, Colorado, shall enter into an Agreement with the City and County of Denver, acting by and through its Board of Water C0111Diasioners, according to the provisions of that certain written instrument captioned "Data Processing Service Agreement", which is attached hereto, consisting of three (3) type- written pages and is hereby incorporated by reference herein. Said instrument provides: ' (1) Englewood will adopt the Board's system of account numbering in the service area from which Board water usage information will be needed. , (2) Englewood will provide to the Board information required to identify the conunon customer population and will update this information by providing annually, on or before March 1, a listing and/or card out deck rep- resenting all new sewer customers identified in the service area during the previous twelve (12) months. (3) The Board will provide annually to the City of Englewood printout and associated punch cards for each of the conunon customers . -1- -- • • Section 2. (4) The Board shall provide Englewood at least ninety (90) days notice before implementing changes .to its billing system. (S) The Board shall be compensated for said service by a fee to be calculated annually which shall be based on the then current and accepted rates per hour for the personnel and equipment required to perform the service. (6) The term of said Agreement shall be indefinite. Either party may cancel by giving to the other party six (6) months notice of such intention. The City Council of the City of Englewood, Colorado hereby authorizes the Mayor of the City of Englewood, Colorado to subscribe his name to said Agreement on and in behalf of the City Council and the City of Englewood, Colorado and the Director of Finance, ex officio City Clerk-Treasurer attest the same.
