That Seotion 6, ot Chapter 4, Article V ot the 1 69 E.M.C. be and the same is hereb7 ... nded to read aa tollo••: 2-,-6 SICK LIAVBJ ACCRUAL; QUALIFICATIONS -CONVERSION (a) Accuaulation•. Sick leave tor all classified employees other than those ola••itied under Seotion '-6-10 (Firemen) shall accumulate monthly at the rate ot eight (8) hours per each month or active service, and said eaplo7ees shall be entitled to ninety-six (96) hours or sick leave each 7ear. Siok leave tor eaployeea claaaltied under Section 5-6-10 (Firemen) shall aooua~late at the •aae rate and under the same conditions as annual leave./ llaxlaua aoouaulation •hall be nine bundred sixty (960) hours and for firemen (all unltoraed •••ber• ot the Fire Department) shall be one thousand three hundred nlnet7-•lx and nlnet7-seven hundredths (1396.97) working hours. Sick leave aa7 be oonverted to annual leave after the accumulation of at least ••••n bundred twent7 (720) hours ot sick leave, at the rate of twenty-four (24) hour• ot •uoh leave to e11ht (8) bours ot annual leave. For those employees in Cla••itied Service workin1 alternate periods of twenty-four (24) hours, •iok leave aa7 be converted to annual leave after the accumulation of at l•a•t one thou•and tort7-•even and seventy-three hundredths (1047.73) hours, at the rate ot •event7-two (72) hours ot sick leave to twenty-four (24) hours of annual leave. All such leave accumulated after the maximum or nine hundred sixty (960) hours or one thousand three hundred ninety-six and ninety-seven hundredths (1396.97) hours (Fire Department) shall automatically convert to annual leave at the rate of three (3) to one (1).
