BB IT ORDAillBD BY '1'BB CITY COUBCIL OP THE CITr OF EBGLEWOOD, COLORADO: Section 1. 'l'hat Section 2, Chapter 2, Title XIV of the '69 E.M.c. ia hereby amendid to read aa follOW81 14-2-2. State Speed Lawa Applicable. In lieu of the proviaiona of S•ctiOn 4-1 of the Model Traffic Code, the following proviaiona are hereby adopted: (a) Subject to the proviaiona of 14-2-3 and 14-2-4, the laW8 of the State of Colorado, aa they now exist or as they may hereinafter be enacted or amended, which regulate the apeed of vehicle•, ahall be applicable upon all streets within thia municipality. Unleas the prima facie speed limit• contained within aaid laW8 are altered in accordance with 14-3-9, and official aigna are in place giving notice thereof, and except when a apecial hazard exists within the meaning of Section 4-4 of the Model 'l'raffic Code, the basic apeed limit• in this municipality ahall be 25 miles-per-hour in any buainess district, 30 milea-per-hour in any residence diatrict and 15 milea-per-hour in any alley. It shall be unlawful to exceed the aforeaaid baaic speed limits or any apeed limit• altered as provided in 14-2-3, when said altered apeed limit• are properly posted. Section 2. 'l'hat all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are expresaly repealed. Introduced, read in full and passed on first reading this 3rd day of llay, 1971.
