Section 1. 125.1 of the Municipal Code of the City
of Bnglft'Ood i• hereby •ended to read a• follows:
•125.l Adoption of Model Traffic Code for Colorado
Municipalitiea, 1966.
(a) Purauant to the proviaiona of Article v, 144 of
the Charter of the City of Bnqlewood and Chapter 139, Article
34, Colorado Reviaed Statutes, 1963, there is hereby adopted as
a part of Chapter 25 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Englewood, with the ••e force and effect aa thouqh the same
were ••t forth in full herein, that certain code known as the
'llodel Traff!i Code for Colorado Municipalitiea, 1966', (herein-
after referr to aa 1ii0dei Traffic Code') a• officially approved,
adtoped and publi•hed by the Colorado Biqhway Safety Council,
by Reaolution thereof dated February 17, 1966, except the
following article• and •action• thereof, which are declared to
be inapplicable to thi• municipality and are hereby expressly
deleted a
(1) Section 2-1 of Article II thereof 1
(2) Section• 4-1, 4-2, 4-3, 4-5, and 4-7 of Article
IV thereof 1
(3) Section 6-6 of Article VI thereof 1
(4) Section 10-1 of Article X thereof 1
(5) Section 15-5 (f) of Article xv thereof 1
(6) Section 17-9 of Article XVII thereof1
(7) All of Article• XXII, XXIII, XXIV, XXVI, XXVII
and XXVIII thereof.
(b) Whenever any provi•ion of the Model Traffic Code llak•• reference to any of the provi•ion• thereof appearing in
thoae portion• of the Model Traffic Code aet forth in subsection
(a) (1) through (7), the •mne •hall be taken to refer to the sub-
atituted proviaion• therefor, if any, contained within this
Chapter 25.•
Section 2. Chapter 25 of the Municipal Code of the City
of Bnglewood i• hereby mnended by the addition thereto of a new
Section 25.2-7, which •hall read a• follawa1
•125.2-7 Right TUrn on Steady Red Light.
In lieu of the proviaion• of 115-5 (f) of the Model
Traffic Code, the follawinq proviaion• are hereby adopted:
(f) Steady red alone1
(1) Vehicular traffic facing a steady red siqnal alone
•hall atop before enterin9 the croaawalk on the near side of the
intereection or at a •iCJD or pav ... nt markin9 indicating where
the atop •hall be made, or in the absence of any •uch crosswalk,
•iqn or .. rkinq, then before enterinq the interaection1 except,
that the driver of any such vehicle, after cClllinq to a atop and
after yielding the ri9ht-of-way to pedeatriana and other traffic
proceeding aa directed, .. y make a riqht turn when a steady red
aiqnal alone ia diaplayed, except at tho•• intersections where
auch riqht turn• are prohibited by the Traffic Bngineer, as
authorized by 125.3-8, and official aiqna indicating such pro-
hibition• are appropriately diaplayed.•
