petitioD8 for a propo8ed ordinance pur•uant to the proviaions of Sections 45
and 46 of the ebarter of the City of Bnglewood, and

receipt of auch petition•, th• City council ahall either paaa ·the proposed
ordinance without alterationa within a period of 30 daym thereafter or, in the
alternative, aulait the propoaed ordinance to a vote of the people, and
waaldlAS, upon receipt of aaid petition•, thi• City council did deem
it to be llOre appropriate to enact aaid ordinance than to submit the same to
a vote of the people, by reaaon of which thi• City Council heretofore enacted
Ordinance llO. 36, Seri•• of 1969, and
WHBIBAS, aubaequent to the enactllent of aaid ordinance, this City
council ha• been infomed by the Departaent of Bi9hwaya of the State of Colorado
that, ahould the City of Bnglewood authorise left-tum movements at the inter-
aection of U.S. Highway 285 and South Bannock Str-t, ao aa to allow westbound
traffic travel on v.s. 285 to proceed northerly on south Bannock Street, there

Department of an interchange at and near the interaection of u.s. 285 and South
Bzoadway Street and that the •aid Departllent of Highway• would not construct

Section 1. Section 1 of Ordinance Bo. 36, Series of 1969, is hereby

in any way, the proviaiona of Section 2 of Ordinance 36, Series of 1969, which

providing, however, that any ordinance, reaolution, motion or traff~c directive
