year: itinerant auctioneer• $10.00 per day of $30.00 per year.

•(d) Direct Selling Licen•••:
(1) A direct aelling agent within the meaning intended in this Code &••'•••a• •hall be conatrued to be any resident or itinerant
peraon who engage• in , or conduct• the buaineaa of
going from houae to houM, place to place, or in or
aloftCJ the •treat• within the City of Englewood, aelling or
offering for aale at retail and making imnediate or later
delivery of any gooda, warea, merchandiae, service, or
anything of value in the poaaeaaion of the direct selling
agent or for which he ia authorized aelling agent, to persons
other than manufacturera, wholeaalera, jobber• or retailers
in auch coaaoditiea. Any peraon operating •• a direct
aelling agent muat f irat obtain from the City Clerk an official
receipt ahowin9 that auch peraon ha• paid the City of Englewood
the Licenae Fee hereinafter apecified for the period indicated,
and ia, therefore, authorized to operate •• a direct selling
agent. The licenae fee for direct selling agents of books,
periodicals (other than newapapera), household wares,
bruahea, inaurance, coametica, utensils, produce, building
repair and remodeling, and any good• or aervices not
apecifically mentioned herein, and not covered by any
other aection or aubaection of thi• Ordinance, shall

be Pive Dollar• ($5.00) for each peraon for three (3)
month•, or Pifteen Dollar• ($15.00) for each peraon for
one year. Any reaident or itinerant direct aelling agent
who auffera from a serioua phyaical handicap and who sells
product• in connection with a rehabilitation program shall
pay only one dollar ($1.00) per year aa an adminiatrative
charge.
•1•) Itinerant Reaidential Route Deliveriea1
Any and all delivery vehicles which sell and deliver foods,
goods-or services, at retail prices direct to residences in the
City of Englewood, and which are representing buaineases or
firma located outside of the City limits, shall be subject to
a tax of $10.00 for each delivery vehicle so engaged. (Examples
of auch an operation are dairiea, dry cleaner• and laundries and
home bakery deliveries.)
•117.14-2 lx!!gption. Any buaineas, occupation or trade which has paid a
licen .. fee or a buaineaa and occupational licenae tax for any part of the year
1964, except direct aelling license• for three month perioda, ahall be entitled
to operate for the balance of the year 1964 without payment of any licenae fee
under the terma of thia ordinance.
•117,14-J" COnf9rmity with Applicable Ordinance1. The City Clerk-Treasurer
•ball check with other department• of the city before iasuing any licenae under
the terma hereof, to determine whether or not the licenaee applicant is in con-
foraity with applicable ordinance• of the City of Bnglewood, and ahall not issue
any auch licenae hereunder without determining that the licenaee is in conformity
with auch ordinance•.
•lil.14=4 Revooation. Any licenae provided for hereinabove may be revoked
by the C ty Clerk-Treaaurer if the licensee ahall be in violation of any ordinance
or atatute relative to the licenaed buaineas, providing that the licensee may
appeal any auch revocation to the City council.

17.14 a fi aubject ~ licenaee to the fines and penaltiea of Chapter 27 of the
Municipal COde of th• City of Englewood.
~ion 2. If any article, section, subaection, sentence, clause or phrase
of th • ordinance is for any reason held to be unconstitutional, illegal, void,
or for any reaaon unenforceable, such decision ahall not affect the validity of
th• r-ining portion of this Ordinance. The council of the City of Englewood
hereby declare• that it would have phrased this Ordinance and each article,
aection, aubaection, clauae or phraae hereof, irreapective of the fact that any
one or more article•, aectiona, aubaectiona, aentencea, clauaea and phrases be
declared unconstitutional, illegal, void, or for any reason unenforceable.
Sectionl. Thia Ordinance ahall be and become effective July 1, 1964.
