HomeMy WebLinkAbout1960 Ordinance No. 007Introduc ed as a Bill by Councilman Braun BY AUTHOR ITY ORDINANCE NO. 7, SERIES OF 1960 \N ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 1, SERIES OF 1960, OF THE ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF ENGLEWOO D, COLORADO, AND VACA'ING THAT CERTAIN ALLEY EXTENDING SOUTHWARD FROM EAST CHENANGO AVENUE AND EAST OF SOUTH BROADWAY, DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: BEGINN ING AT A POINT ON THE SOUTH LINE OF EAST CHENANGO AVENUE, WHICH POINT IS 141 FEET WEST OF THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF TRACT "A", BELLEWOOD; THENCE SOUTH 126 FEET; THENCE EAST 16 FEET; THENCE NORTH 126 FEET TO TlfE SOUTH LINE OF EAST CHENANGO AVENUE; THENCE WEST 16 FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING, IN THE CITY OF ENGLEWOOD, ARAPAHOE COUNTY, COLORADO. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ENGLEWOOD, COLORADO: Section 1. That Ordinance No. 1, Series of 1960, of the ordinances of the C i ty of Englewood, Colorado, be and hereby is repealed. Section 2. That the herei nafter described property locatedin the City of Englewood, Arapahoe County, Colorado, be and hereby is declared vacated pur- suant to the provisions of Section 13, Arti cle 1, Chapter 120, Colorado Revised Statutes 1953, and that title thereto shall vest in the owners of abutting land, as provided in said Chapter 120; said vacated land being particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point on the South line of East Chenango Avenue, which point is 141 feet West of the Northeast corner of Tract "A", Bellewood; thence South 126 feet; thence East 16 feet; thence North 126 feet to the South line of East Chenango Ave nue; thence West 16 feet to the point of beginning, in the City of Englewood, Arapahoe County, Colorado. Section 3. That the hereinabove described land is located entirely within the City of Englewoo d, Colorado, and does not constitute a boundary line between the City of Englewood and any county or other municipality. Section 4. That the vacation of the hereinabove described streets and alleys will not leave any adjoining land without an established public road connecting said land with another established public road. Section 5. That the City of Englewood does hereby expressly reserve the rights-of-way or easements for the continued use of existing sewer, gas, water, or similar pipe lines and appurtenances, and for ditches or canals, and appurtenances, and for electric, telephone, and similar lines and appurtenances, if any, now located in the hereinabove described part of Englewood. Passed on Firs t Reading by the City Council of the City of Englewood, Colorado, this 4th day of April, A .D. 1960, and ordered published in full in the Englewood Herald and Enterprise. Passed on Final Reading by the City Council of the City of Englewood, Colorado, this 18th day of April, A .D. 1960, and ordered published in full in the Englewood Herald and Enterprise.
