HomeMy WebLinkAbout1957 Ordinance No. 001BY AUTHORITY ORDINANCE NO. 1 SERIES OF 1957 AN ORDINANCE VACATING THE ALLEYS IN BLOCK 10 AND BLOCK 11, AND ALL OF SOUTH MARIPOSA STREET, AS PLAT TED AND EXTENDED FROM THE NORTH LINE OF WEST MANSFIELD AVENUE TO THE SOUTHEASTERLY LINE OF TOPEKA COURT, LOGANDALE, CITY OF ENGLEWOOD, ARAPAHOE COUNTY, COLORADO. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ENGLEWOOD, COLORADO: Section 1. That th e hereinafter described property located in Logandale, City of Englewood, Arapahoe County, Colorado, be and hereby is, declared vacated pursuant to the provisions of Section 13, Ar ticle 1, Chapter 120, Colorado Revised Statutes 1953, and that title thereto shall vest in the owners of abutting land, as provided in said Chapter 120; said vacated land being particularly described as follows: All of the platted alley 16 feet in width in Block 10, Logandale; All of the platted alley 16 feet in width in Block 11, Logandale; All of South Mariposa Street as platted and extending from th e North line of West Mansfield Avenue to the Southeas t erly line of Topeka Court, Logandale. Section 2. That the hereinabove described la~ is located entirely within the City of Englewood, Colorado, and does not constitute a boundary line between the City of En- glewood and any County or other municipality. Section 3. That the vacation of the hereinabove described part of a street will not leave any adjoining land without an established public road connecting said land ith ano ther established public road. ' Section 4. Th a t the City of Englewood does hereby expressly reserve the rights of way or easements for the continued use of existing sewer, gas, water or similar pipe lines and appur tenances and for ditches or canals, and appurtenances, and for electric, telephone, and similar lines and appurtenances, now located in the hereinabove described part of Logandale. Section 5. The City Council hereby finds, determines and declares that this Or- dinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of public peace, health, safety, and convenience. Section 6. In the opinion of the City Council an emergency exists; therefore, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its final passage and publication. Passed on First Reading by the City Council of the City of Englewood, Colorado, this 3rd day of December, A.D. 1956, and ordered published in the Englewood Herald and Enterprise. Passed on Final Reading by the City Council of the City of Englewood, Colorado, this 7 day of January, A.O. 1957, and ordered published in the Englewood Herald and Enterprise. ATTEST: I, J. L.
