AH ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 7 arx1 9 OF ORDINANCE NO. 13, SERIES OF 1956, ENTITIED "AN ORDINANCE
REiGULATING TRAFFIC AND PROVIDING FOR PARKING SPACE AND TIME LIMITATIONS ON STREETS WITHIN TIE .CITY
OF ENGIEWOOD, COLORADO", AS TO ALL-NIGHT !?ARKING AND TEMPORARY DESIGNATION OF STREETS ON WHICH THERE
SHALL BE NO PARKING FOR THE PURPOSE OF THE STREET CLEANING PROGRAM, AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND
PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COONCIL OF THE CITY OF ENGL.0000, COLCEAOO:
Section 1. Section 7 of Ordinance No. 13, Series of 1956, is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 7. When signs are erected to prohibit all-night parking am giving
notice thereof, no person except physicians and other persons on emergency calls
shall park a vehicle on any or the following streets for a period of longer than
30 minutes between the hours of 2 A.M. an:i 6 A.M., ot ar17 day:
(a) South Broadway from Yale Avenue to QuinC7 Avenue.
(b) South Acoma Street from West Greenwood Avenue to West Hampden Avenue.
(c) South Bannock Street from West Greenwood Avenue to West Hampden Avenue.
(d) South Lincoln Street from East Girard Avenue to East Jefferson Avenue.
(e) South Sherman Street from East Hanpden Avenue to East Jefferson Avenue.
(f) Hampden Avenue from South Clarkson Street to South Sherman Street.
(g) Girard Avenue from South Grant Street to South Acoma Street.
(h) West Greenwood Avenue from South Broadway to South Bannock Street.
(i) East Floyd Avenue from South Broadway to South Grant Street.
Section 2. Section 9 of Ordinance No. 13, Series of 1956, is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 9(a). The City Manager is hereby authorized to establish and designate bus stop
zones, taxi cab zones, loading zones, fire hydrant zones and intersection view sones, and to
eliminate or prohibit parking in front of theatres and other public buildings in such places
and in such number as he shall determine to be of the greatest benefit arxi convenience to the
public, and every such stand, stop or restricted parking area shall be designated by appropriate
signs or colors.
Section 9(b). The City Manager is hereby authorized to establish am designate temporarily
tor the purpose of the street cleaning program, whenever necessary, streets or parts of streets
on which there shall be no parking within times specified by signs placed along said streets or
parts of streets. Such designation of no parking shall temporarily supersede any other restriction
or limitation on the time of parking which may exist on such street or part of street.
Section 3. All Ordinances arxi parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 4. The City Council hereby finds, determines and declares this Ordinance is necessary
!or the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and convenience.
Section 5. In the opinion of the City Council an emergency exists; therefore, this Ordinance
shall take effect and be in force from an:i after its final passage &nd publication.

of October, A.D. 1956, a.rd ordered published in the Englewood Herald and Enterprise.
Passed on Final Reading by the City Council of the City of Englewood, Colorado, this 19th day
of November A.D. 1956, and ordered published in th~ewood Beral9 and Enterprise. ·u
