SEVE NTY (70 ) OF TH E STAT E HIGHWAY SYS TEM: BEGIN NING AT HAMPDEN AVENUE AND SOUTH BANNOC K STREET EX TENDING SOUTH AND EAST TO JEFFERSON AVENUE NCE ALO NG JEF FER SO N AVE NU E TO AN I NTERS ECTION WITH SOUTH CLARKSON STREET, HENCE EAST ON THE NO RTH SIDE OF JEFFER SON AVENUE TO SOUTH MARION STREET, HENC E NORTH AND EAST FROM SOUTH ?!AR I ON STREET TO AN INTERSECTION WITH SOUTH LAFAYE TT E STRE ET THE PRESE HT CITY LI MI TS OF THE CITY OF ENGLEWOOD, COLORADO, AND TO PROVIDE FOR '!HE REGULAT ION THE REOF UNDER AGREEMENT WITH THE COLORADO DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAY S • BE IT ORDA I NE D BY THE CITY COUNC IL OF THE CITY OF ENGLEWOOD, COLORADO: SE CT ION 1. Th e City Counc il hereb y declares the following street or streets as a pa rt of State Highvray No. Seventy (70) of the State Highway System: Beginning at Hampd en Av enue and South Bannock Street extending South and East to Jeffer s on Aven ue , thence Ea s t along Jefferson Avenue to an intersection with South Clarkson Street, thence East on the North Si d e of Jeffer s on Avenue to South Marion Street, thence North nnd Ea s t from South Marion Street to an intersection 1th South Lafayett e S t reet the present City Limits of the City Of En g lewood, Colorado. SECTION 2 . State Highway No. by the City of En particulars : Th e use of Aa id strPet or streets so designated as a part of Seventy (70) s hall be subject to such regulations as agreed upon le,,•ood and the Colorado Department of Hi g hways in the following (A) The installation of Ai~ns , s emaphore s or s i gnals wil l not be authorized or perm1 tted , .. ,h tch w1 l l r,1 ve any local intereP.cting street a status outranking the State Highway . (B) Const ructio n or enc roachment on the h i g hway right-of-way will not be permitted. (C) Cu r b lines will not b e est ablished or curbing caused or permitted to be construct ed on the highwa y with c urb lines less than thirty-seven (J?) feet apart. (D) Speed and t r n ffic regulations relating to vehicles using said highway will be established only aft er a pp rova l fir s t being obtained from the Colorado Department of Highways • (E) All parking of vehicles on said h i ghway will be made parallel to the right-of- :. way side lines . (F) P~rki ng of vehicles will b e p rohibited within twenty feet of a crosswalk at an intersection and under t he highway underpas s b etween South Acoma Street and South Lincoln Street. And the Mayor is h ereby authorized to si gn and the City Clerk to attest said a£reement embodying the fo reg oing regulatio ns. SECTION J. The City Counci l he reby finds, determines and declares this Ordinance is necessary for the im~ed iate p reservation of the public peace, health, safety and conveni ence. SECT I ON 4 . In the op inion of th e City Council an emergency exists; therefore, this Ordinance shall take effect and b e i ·n f orce from and after its final passage and publication •.
