ORDINANCE NO . 3 SERIES OF 1945
AN OR DI NA NCE AFFROFRIATING SUMS FOR ALL MUNICIPAL PURPOSES IN THE ·-
CITY OF ENGl EWOO D, COL ORA DO, IN THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 1946
AND ENDING DECEMBE R 31, 1946, CONSTITUTI NG WHAT rs TERMED THE ANNUAL APPROP-
RIATION BILL FOR T HE FISCAl YEAR 1946.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ENGlE 'i/OO D:
SECTION 1. That there be and there hereby is appropriated from the
revenues deri ved fro m taxation in the City of Englewood, Colorado, from the
collection of license fees and (fi~.~lloi~ij!_r •• s~~~~~~~of revenue during the
year beginning Janu a ry 1, 1946;:tne am~unts "'?iefelna)°~er set forth for the
objects and pu r po ses specified a nd set opposite thereto,· specifically as
follows, to-wi t:

2. STREETS AND BRIDGES-------------------60,000.00
3. FIRE DEPART ME NT-----------------------7,465.00
4. POl ICE DE PAR TMENT---------------------22,140.00
5. GENE RAL EXPEN SE-----------------------12,500.00
6. LIBRA RY-------------------------------2,500.00

SECTION 2. That all monies in the hands of the City Treasurer are
to co me into h i s handa ,for the fiscal year of 1946 may be applied on out-
standing claims now due or to beco .a e due for the aaid fi·scal year 1946.
SECTION :3. That all unappropriated monies that may come into the
hands of the City Treasurer during the fiscal year 1946 may be so distributed
among the respective funds herein as the City Council may deem best under
such control a s is prescribed law.
SEC TION 4. That during and at the clos~ of the fiscal year 1946, any
surp lu s money in any of the res p ective funds, after all claims for 1946 against
the same have been paid, may be distributed to any other fund or funds in the
discretion o f the City Council.
SECTION 5. The City Co un cil hereby f1nds, determines and declares
that this Ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public,
eace, health and safety.
SECTION 6. In the opinion of the City Council an emergency exists:
therefore, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its
tinal passage and publication.

the above and foregoing ordlnance was introduced, and read in full, and on
resolut ion was ordered published as a proposed ordinance for .the meeting of
November 13, 1945, held by the City Council on said date and same was pub-
lished Novembe r 22, 1945, in the Englewood Enterprise, and for more than
ten days thereafter and at a subsequent meeting of the City Council held
