1. That hereafter no person, peraona, ausociation, firm or corporation shall
within the limits of tho City of &nglewood, aetablillh maintain or operate &111'
Auto Camp, cottagw camp, tourist camp or similar place, ae herein defin•4,
without having fSrat obtained frorn the City of Englewood a license or a permit
t herefore, under t he t•rma and oonditions of this prdinanoe.
2. The terma"auto oamp" "cottage camp". "touriat cai!!p", or similar place, aa
uae4 in thia ordinance, shall be deemed to include every plaoe where traveler•
o• touriata traveling by automobile or other vehA•••e a.re permitted or aolicited
or encouraged to stay for one or more night•, and &hall included auoh places
wheither a oharge, fee or rent ia e xacted of auoh tourists or travelers for
the uae of said permiaes or ocoupan117 of houaea of dwellings thereon, if any
there be or not. It shall not, however, be deemed to include aD7 hotel or
lo4geing houae as the earn• as• commonly known, when aaid hotel or lodginf houae
ia properly licensed by the City of Rnglewoo4.
3. A minimum license f•• in th• awn of -.enty-fiv• dollar• <•26.00) ahall be ,,,,-~

6. Io. auoh oamp or plaoe ahall be locuted, eatablished, maintained or operated
on S1J7 property within aix blocks on either aide of Broadway, or within aix
block• on wither •it• of Hampden Avenue, and no auch camp or plao• ahall be
looate4, eatablished, maintained or operated, on any other property within th•
Cit7 of Ml@'lnood, an4 no lice1:11e mq issue therefore unloaa and until the applicant
ahall haY• firat obtained the written consent of theown•r• or occupant• of the
Property wit in a raclta of 600 feet of said camp or place.

7. It ahall be unlawful for a117 person to k••P or haY• in hie P•••••aion or te
ofter for aale, ••11, barter, trade or give awq:·on or abeut 8.117 auoh place,
premi••• or camp, aa herein define4, or th• dwelling• thereon, 8.Il7 intoxicating
liquer , •r t• engage in a117 diaorderly conduct on or about aaid premia••· And it
ahall be unlawful tor the owner, prop•i$tor or agent or repreantive of auoh
owner or proprietor or of any person in poaseaeion of or in controll of said premiaea
to allow auoh P•••••sion, offer of sale, sale, barter, trade, or gift, of any
intoxicating liquor or any disorderly conduct by any person or persona on or about
aai4 premi•••· And if such possessions, offer ol aale, aale, barter, tradeor gift
ot ant intoxicating liquors, or any disorderly conduct is allowed or encouraged on
or about said premises by the owner, proprietor or hia agent, or repreaantive or by
the p91'aon in ,.aaeaaion of and in controll of said premises, then auch premiaea,
place or oamp shall be, and it ia hereby declared to be nuisance per ee, and rn~
be abate4 aa euoh in the manner provided by law and in thia ordinance.

9. A117one toun4 guilty of violating any of the proviatona of thia ordinance &hall be
puniahed b7 a fin• of not leaa than $10.00 and not more than $300.00, or b7
impriaorunent for not leas than one day, and not more than ninety daya, or by both
auoh fin•• and impriaonment. Provided that in caa• of a violation ~ Section 6 of

thi• ordinanoe, ahall be puniahed in the manner provided in Section 7 hereof.
10. If any aeotion, a•ntence, olaua• or .phra•• of thia ordinance is for any reas•n
held to be unoonstitutional, such decision shall not efteot th• validity of the
remaining portion or portion• of this ordinanoe. Th• Gity Council hereby deolarea
that it would have paaaed this ordinance, and each aection, sentence, oiauae ,utd
phrase thereof irreapectiv• of the fact that any one or more other aeotiona, 8
aentencea, olauses or phrase• be deolared unoonatitional.
