That the tentative agreement dated July 15 , 1983 by and between the City of Eng l ewood , Co l orado , and the Englewood Employees As sociation , effective Janua r y 1 , 1984 through December 31, 1986 , a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof , be and the same is hereby appr oved . Sect i on 2 . That the Mayor of the Ci ty of Englewood i s he r eby autho n zed and di rected t o execute the Collective Bargaining Ag r eement be tween the Ci t y of Englewood and the Englewood Employees Assoc i ation dated July 15 , 1983 , and the Di r ect o r of Finance , ex o fficio City Cle r k Tre asure r , s hall attest the same . Section 3 . A copy of said Ag r eement i s on f i le with the Di r ector of Finance, ex officio City Cle r k Treasurer , a sumnary of which is as follows: Said Agreement cons ists of 17 typewritten pages , titled "Memo randum of Unde r s t a ndi ng !le tween The City Of Englewood And The Englewood Em ployees Assoc i a tion." The du r a tion of the Ag r eement is from January 1 , 1984 to and including Decembe r 31 , 1986 . The Ag r eemen t r ecognizes the Eng lewood Employees As soc iation and defines those pe r sons included in said As s oc i a t ion and those persons excluded from said Association . Employee rights a r e def ined in Arti cle Ill t he r eof. The hours of wo rk a r e generally 40 ho urs per week with exce ption fo r certain shift work . Ove rtime work is generally compensated at the r ate of l. 5 times normal r ate of compensation. Ce rtain positions a r e allowed compe nsatory time off. Provision is made fo r acting pay, merit increases , l ongevity compensation , annual l eave , personal leave , disabil ity, on the job i njury/disability, military leave, funeral leave , jury duty and witness service, Holidays a,·~ established i n the Agreement . A uniform cleaning allowanc e is provided for those employees r equired to wear uniforms. A tuition r e fund program is established . Li fe insu r ance , dental insurance , and health i nsurance a r e provi ded at ce rtai n rates . Reti rement be ne fits , layoff procedure , leave of absence and grievance procedures are established in the Agr eement. D.Jes deduc tion is provided for. Certain Association activities are pe r mitted . Standby pay is established , callback provisions are established and maintenance of be ne fits is assured . Compe nsation is provided fo r in the Agreement and pro vides for 5. 75% inc r ease on ba s~ wage rate effective January 1 , 1984 .
