WHE1?£AS , the Planning and zon i ng ':annission has revi e wed the
B-2 Zone District regulations to determi ne whether or not that
section of the Conprehe nsive Zoning Ordinance adequately reflects
the goals of the City as set forth in the Conprehensive Plan ; and
WHEREAS , the Plannin~ and 7oning Carmission has considered
the B-2 Zo ne District at publ ic hearing on May 14 , 1985 anc'
announced a study session for May 21 , 1985 ; and
WHEREAS , at said study session , only one person (a car lot
owner) spoke; and
WHEREAS , at the stody session of May 21 , 1985 , it was
announce:1 th~re would be further discussion on the B-2 Zone
District on Ju11e 4 , 1985 Pl an ning and Zo ning Omnission meeting ;
a nd
vRIEREAS , a, the June 4 , 1985 rliscussion, three car lot
dealers wer e pres,,r,t who had been present at the May 14 public
hedring , but dE1 not addre~;s the Cormission Jn the B-2 Zone
District matte.:; and
WHEHl>AS , after said public hearing , study session and
discussion, the reccmnend ation of the Ci ty Pl anni,,g and Zoning
Carmission to the City Council is that the proposed revisions to
the Conprehensive zoning Ordinance be adopted ;
