AN ORDINANCE ./\MENDING TITLE 11, CHAPTER 1, SECTIOO 8, ENGLENX)[) MUNICIPAL CODE
1985, RELATING TO RESIDENI'IAL 00-STREET PARKING PERMITS AND FEES.
WHEREAS, in certain areas of the City there is no parking allowed in
residential arreas; and
WHEREAS, residents have no place for visitors to park;
NO'l, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ENGLEW::XlD, <XlLORADO, THAT:
Section 1. Title 11, Chapter 1, Section 8, Englewood Municipal Code
1985, is hereby azrended in Subsection A by adding a provision for visitor
permits to read as follows:
11-1-8: RESIDENI'IAL 00-STREET PARKrnG PERMITS AND FEES:
A. Permits. When the City Traffic Engineer, pursuant to Article XII
and Section 9, Article XXIII, of the M::xlel Traffic Code for Colorado
Municipalities, 1977 F.dition, has designated and established time
limitations on vehicle parking on streets in residential areas, the
Director of Finance, or his designee, may, upon application, issue
UP TO '1W) ( 2) O·lNER' S permits to residents of such areas who own
and/or ~rate a notor vehicle allowing said vehicle to be parked in
the block on INhich the owner of said vehicle resides as if there
were no time limitation restrictions on said parking. THE PEH,tIT
SHALL BE FOR A 'IW)....YE'.AA PERIOD. The permit shall be affixed to the
lower left-hand corner of the rear window of said vehicle, or in a
location on t.'1e vehicle approved by the Director of Finance, or his
designee. This provision shall not apply to metered parking spaces
where parking meter zones have been established. A RESIDENl' OF SUCH
AREA MAY OBTAIN 'lW:> (2) VISITOR P.ARKIN; PERMITS 'ID BE ISSUED BY THE
CITY. THE PERMIT SHALL BE FOR A 'IID-YF.AA PERIOO OF TIME AND SHAU.
BE ISSUED FOR NO FEE. THE PERMIT SHALL BE ISSUED FOR A SP.EX:IFIC
BLOCK AND .ADDRESS AND SHALL OOLY JJJ.LCM A VISI'IUR ro <Xl-1E ro THE
BLCX:K THAT HAS BEEN ISSUED THE VISI10R PARKING PERMIT. THE PERMIT
SHALL BE DISPIAYED 00 THE VISITOR VEHICLE Ill THE FRrnl' LEFTHAND
(DRIVER'S) WINDSHIELD. IF A PERMIT IS I.OST, S'IDLEN, OR A RESIDENl'S
VEHICLE IS SOW, A REPLACEl-IENT PERMIT MAY BE PURCHASED, AND Ill THE
