',f,ta ,t_., W -~ Patr c a Ii ., Crow DATE October 16, 1989 INITIATED BY STAFF SOURCE ISSUE/ACTION PROPOSED COUNCIL COHIIIJNICATION AGENDA ITEM 11 (b) City Council SUBJECT Indecent Proposal Ord I nance Amendment Section 7, 6D-F, EMC 1985 Rick DeWitt, City Attorney Council Member Byrne asked for the revision of the In decent proposal ordinance because it was selective in enforcement since it only proscribed male conduct. PREVIOlJ ~ COUNCIL ACTION None. STAFF ANALYSIS This ordinance has been rewritten to proscribe conduct of both males and females and to be more definite in the illegal conduct . The proposed amendments ,•ave been reviewed by the Director of Safety Serl'ices, the City Clerk, and the Court Administrator. No adverse comments were received. BACKGROUND As stated above. FINANCIAL No financial impact is anticipated.
