Historical Backround1 The site was zoned B-2 (General Business) in the late
SO' s. lh1 Firs National Bank of Englew oo d constructed its office and bank
building on thh site In 1967, and did not pursue a zoning change because the
use was allowed under the B-2 classification .
Rtason for Ruon1nq: The duel zoning classification of the First National
Bank prop1rty Is not consistent with the character and current use of the
property. It Is, therefore, reconmended that the B-2 (General Business) clas-
sif1cation be changed to B-1 (Business) to provide mor e consistent zoning as outlined in the 1979 Comprehensive Plan.
