AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 5, CHAPTER I, SECTION 4, SUBSECTION
C, ')F THE ENGLEWOOD MUNICIPAL CODE 2000 . PERTAINING TO LATE FEE
FOR MISCELLANEOUS LICENSE RENEWALS NOT FILED IN A TIMELY
FASHION.
WHEREAS, Miscellaneous License holders have not had a penalty imposed for filing
their renewal applications late ; and
WHEREAS , the passage of this proposed Ordinance creates an incentive to file renewal
applications on a timely basis by imposing a la te fee for miscellaneous licen ses filed late; and
WHEREAS, the fee shall be set initially at $25.00 , which fee may be amended by
resolution based on periodic review by City Council when all Miscellaneous L'consr ices are
reviewed:
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINE D BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ENGLEWOOD , COLORADO . AS FOLLOWS :
Section I. The City Council of tho City of Eng lewood , Colorado hereb y authorizes
amending Title 5, Chapter I, Section 4, Subsection C, of the Englewood Municipal Code
2000, to read as follows:
5-1-4 : Application for License .

The Council discussed this issue with staff on March 5, 2007.
RECOMMENDED ACTION
Staff re commends Council approve the attached Bill for an Ordinance approving changes to 5-1-4-
2-C of the Cily Code. This action allows staff to impose a late fee for mis ce llaneous licenses filed
late. The fee would be set by Resolution . Staff recommends the fee be set initially at $25, and it be
periodically revi ewed by Cily Council when all mis ce llan eous li ce nse fe es are re viewed .
BACKGROUND, ANALYSIS, AND ALTERNATIVES IDENTIFIED
Miscellaneous license holders have not had a penally imposed for filing their rene wa l applications
late. This action is not intended to raise revenue, but is an inc entive to file renewa l applications on
a timely basis .
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The City will be paid $25 for ea ch late filer. At this time the amount collected cannot be
determined, but it should not be significant. As mentioned above, this is not intended to raise
revenue but ensure compliance with the Code.
