WHEREAS, the co nstructi on of Englewood Parkway from South Cherokee Stree t to South Elati Street re sulted in the creation ofa res idu al parcel immediatel y nonh of th e Parkway ; and WHEREAS, this parcel, co ntai nin g 30,975 sq uare feet, offers few development possibilities by itself; and WHEREAS, the most appropriate use is parking, either in conjunction wi th th e former City Hall site or as additio nal parking for th e Pharmor si te; and WHEREAS, the owners of the Ph armor si te ha ve indicated that the y have no interest in this property ; and WHEREAS , the proposed rede ve lopmen t of the former City Hall site is contingent upon the inc lusion of Parcel 2 for additi ona l parking; and WHEREAS , it is necessary to transfer the property to the Englewood Environmental Foundation so that EEF may comp lete thi s development. NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ENGLEWOOD, COLORADO , THAT : Section I. Th e City Counci l of the City of Englewood, Co lorado htreby aut horizes th e transfer of Parcel 2 located immediately nort h of Englewood Parkway between South Cherok ee Street and South Elati Street to the Eng lewood Enviro nm enta l Fou nd ation, a copy of the parcel is as show n on attached "Ex hibit I ", to the Englewood Env ironment al Foundation for redevelopm ent of the property Section 2.
