In Feb rua ry of 2000, Ci ty Council adopted O rdinance No. 8, which re vised the defi nit io n furth er. Rii COMMENDED ACTION Th e Code En force ment Advisory Committee reco,r,m ends that sect ion 7·6E ·9 of th e City of Engl ewood Municipal Code pertaining to Graffiti be ame nded. TI1e committee re co mmends the inclusil"ln c '-~ wo rd "aci d" to thi s sec ti on . BACKGROUND, ANALYSIS, AND ALTERNATIVES IDENTIFIED Individuals are now using acid to etch th eir moniker (g raffiti) onto wi nd ows of local busin esses, causing a sig ni fi ca nt mon etary loss to th e victim. Afte r hea ring a rep ort by Se rg ea nt Jeff San chez and lieutenant John Collins rega rding th e unla wful us e of acid as it relates to the crime of Graffiti, the Code Enforcement Adv is or • Committee recommended Council co ns ide ration of an amendment to th e Engl ewoo i Muoi ci pal Code to address this concern.
