WHEREAS, City of Englewood Safety Services Department hoe applied to the Co lorado Department ofTranaportation (CDOT) for a grant continuing the tro.f!ic enforeement project; and WHEREAS . the COOT Grant will eetablish resourcee which will enable the police division to maintain a comprehensive traffic enforcement project; and WHEREAS, the Englewood Police Diviaion"e primary goal is to reduce accident$ at the top five accident locabona within the City by l°" over the thzee year period of the intergovernmental agreement with COOT; and WHEREAS. another goal of this project is to improve the quality of life on th.e community by effectively addressing traffic issues that compromise safety and disrupt the quality of life ; NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCrL OF THE CITY OF ENGLEWOOD. PAYME:ft TERMS -COST RElMBURSEMENT. Section 402. Such reimbunemen1 shall be only as provided in the Contract Manual . Such rei mbursement shall be contingent upon the contribution by the Conll'actor of its part icipati ng share as provided here in. and shall be conungcm upon the continuing :ivailabilitJ of federal funds under the Highw ay Safety Act. To be considered for payment, billings for payment pursuan t to this contract must be received with in 60 days after the period for which payment is being requested and finaJ bill ings on the contract must be received hy the State within 60 day s after the end of the contract tenn. (2) Pa ym ents rursuant to 1hi s contract shall be made as earned. in whole or in pa..-t, from available funds encumbered for the pu rchase of the described services .
