WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Englewood deairea to change the Competitive Bidding proceaa to provide for competitive bidding in exceaa of $25,000 or llll prescribed by ordinance : and WHEREAS, this requirement has not been adjUBted in many years and is no longer relevant from a financial viewpoint; and WHEREAS, -·petitive bidding at this level 18 ine fficient be uae 80 much time is being spent on preparing, reviewing and awarding bida for relatively small purchases: and WHEREAS , the Englewood City Council find! that s uch modification of the Englewood Home Rule Charter would serve the public welfare ; OW, THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY '"HE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ENGLEWOOD, COLORADO , THAT: Section 1 'F1.1,;r;; is hereby submitted to the regatered electors of the City of Englewood at the next scheduled municipal election on November 6 , 2001 a propoeed amendment to the Charter of the City of Engl.ewood , as follow !': Question No ARTICLEX FlNA CEADMINJSTRATION PART IV .
