WHEREAS , the City Council of the Citv of Englewood de ire s to cha nge the Capital Improvements 'lrocess to provide for~ mp et.uve b1dding in excess of $50,000 or as prescribed by l '· ri:uu:e; and WHEREAS, ~'1: requirement has not been adjusted in many years and is uo longer relevant from a~., ncial or operational viewpoint; and WHEREAS, competitive bidding at dus le,-el is inefficient because so much time is being spent on preparing, reviewing and awarding bids for relatively small projede; and WHEREAS, the Englewood City Counol finds that such modification of the Englewood Home Rule Charter would rve the public welfare ; NOW , THEREFORE , BE rr ORDAINED BY THE CITY co CIL OF THE CITY OF E:-IGLEWOOD, COLORADO, THAT.
