WHEREAS, Southgate Sanitation District recommenda the inclusion of a pan:el totaling approximately 2.5 acre• into the Du,trict; and WHEREAS, said inclusion is located in Greenwood Village north of Eut Ot;chard Avenue, south of Belleview, and west of Colorado Bouleverd in Greenwood V~ (6807 South Colorado Boulevard); and WHEREAS , the zoning of thia property in Greenwood Village is residential zoninl and will remain a Bins}e family residence; and WHEREAS , said anne:utfon of this additional pan:el of land will not increue the tap allocation to the Southgate Sanitation District; and WHEREAS, the Enclewood Water ,md Sewer Board rea>ID!anded approval of Supplement No. 147 to the Southgate Sanitation District at th April 11 , 2000 meeting; !WW, THEREFORE, BE rr ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ENGLEWOOD, COLORADO, AS FOLLOWS: ~-The Agreement between the City of Englewood and Southgate Sanitation District entitled "Supplement No. 147, to Conoector's Agreement", which includes a parcel totaling approximately 2.5 acres located in Greenwood Village north of East Orchard Avenue, south of Belleview and west of Colorado Boulevard (6807 South Colorado Boulevard}, is hereby ar ..,pted and approved by the Englewood City Council. Fonda, Director of Utilities COUNCIL GOAL AND PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION None. RECOMMENDED ACTION The Water and Sewer Board, at their April 11, 2000 meeting, recommended Council approval of a Bill for an Ordinance approving Southgate Supplement #147 . BACKGROUND, ANALYSIS, AND ALTERNATIVES IDENTIFIED The City of Englewood provides sewage treatment to a populat ion of about 70,000 people outside the City through contracts with numerous connector districts . The area is defined by the natural drainage and extends south and east from Broadway to the Valley Highway and from Hampden to Lincoln Ave . excluding Highlands Ranch . By contract the City of Englewood must approve any additions of land to be served by the districts. These are usually in-fill situations that are within what the City considers to be the area it has committed to serve . Adequate capacity has been provided in the treatment plant to accommodate all such future inclusions. Annexation of this parcel of land will not increase the tap allocation of the Southgate Sanitation District. A request was made by the Southgate Sanitation District representing the owners, Richard and Mila Ziernicki, for inclusion into the Southgate Sanitation District. Supplement #147 is for 2.5 acres. The lot has a Residential R2 .5 Zoning and will remain the same for a single family .-esidence . The legal is attached as Exhibit A. The property is located north of E. Orchard Ave ., south of Belleview and west of Colorado Blvd . in Greenwood Village. The address is 5807 S. Colorado Blvd .
