WHEREAS , Englewood is a municipal corporation organized a nd existing pursuant to Articl e XX of th e Colo rndo Constituti on, its Charter , its Ord inances; its territorial j ur isdiction ge nerally is th e legal boundaries of the City of Englewood, Colorndo: nnd WHEREAS, Littleton is a municipal co rpornti on providing fire service with in th e lcgn l bounda ri es of lhe City of Littl eto n and the legal bou nd aries of th e Littleto n Fire Protec ti on Di strict (r eferred to as the "territo ry or se rvice nreu of Littleton") pursu ant to on intergovernmental agreement with said District for fir e se rvi ces: and WHEREAS, ea ch of the parties hereto maintain emergency equipm ent: and WHEREAS , em e rge nc ies may arise in one or the other of the jurisdictions resulting in greater demands than the personnel ond equipm ent of that party con handle, or e me rgenci es of such intensity may occur that th ey cannot be handled so lel y by th e eq uipm ent of the pnrty in whose jurisdiction the emergency occu rs; nnd WHE REAS , i t is in the interest of e·a ch of the pa rties that they may hove se rvice of an d from the othe r party ai d a nti a ssist them for the purpose of fi ghting fires or responding to oth e r e merge ncies : NOW , THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAJNED BY THE CITY COUNC IL OF THE CITY OF ENGLEWOOD , CO LORADO , AS FOLLOWS: ~-That an a greement entitled "Automa tic Aid And Mutual Aid Agreement'' Between th e City of Englewo od and the Ci ty of Littl eton is hereby approved by th e Ci ty Cou ncil. Howeve r, eithe r party hereto may terminate thi s contract withou t ca use upon th irt y (30) days prior wr illen notice to the 0ther party . n.
