A RESOLUTION AU THORIZING THE EXEMPTION OF THE HABITAT FOR HUM AN ITY
OF METRO-DENVER (HF HMD) FROM BUILDING PERMIT FEES AND THE FEE IN LLEU
OF PARK LAND DEDICATION ASSOC L<\ TED WITH THE DEVELOPMENT OF EIGHT
PAIRED !:tNGLE FAMILY HOMES LOCATED AT23 10 WEST HAR VARD AVENUE,
PROPOSED TO BE KNOWN AS 2182 , 2284, 2296 AND 2298 WEST HARVARD AVENUE
AND 228 3, 228 5, 2297 AND 2299 WEST HILLSID E AVENUE.
WHEREAS , the Habitat For Humanit y of Metro Denver (HFHMD), a non-profit corporati on
submitted n grant application to Arapahoe Count y to purchase pro~erty located at 2310 West
Harvard Avenue , and
WHEREAS, Arapahoe r ounty is expected to approve the gram application and HFHMD to
purchase the pr<! eny m ~•,·ch 2008; and
WHEREAS , the HFHMD r ucsted the City to waive the Build ing Permit Fees and the fee in
lieu of Park Lond dedica tion assoc iated with thi s development at the Englewood City Council
Meeting January 7, 2008 ; and
WHEREAS. the Englewwa City Council supp oned HFHMD 's grant application and also
approved by consens m ·rFHMU 's requ es t to waive building pemlit fees and the fee in lieu of
park land dedicati ~n associated ith this development as part of Englewood 's contribution to thi s
project ;

NOW, THEREFORl., 8£ IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ENGLEWOOD , COL ORADO . THAT :
Sccti o!!.l, The City Council of the City of Englewood , Colora do hereby r.uihorizes an
exemption of the Habitat for Humanit y of Metro Denver from the building permit fees and the fee
in lieu of park land dedicati on associated with the develop ment of eight units of paired housing
located at 23 JO West Harvard Aven ue , proposed to be known as 2282, 2284 , 2296, and 2298
West Harvard Avenue and 2283, 2285, 2297 and 2299 West Hill side Avenue.

COUNCIL GOAL AND PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION
On January 7, 2008, Habitat fo r Humanity of Metro-Denver (HFHMD) met with City Council as a
sched uled vis ito r at the Council m ee ting to discuss their proposed housing project at 23 10 Wes t
Harvard Avenue. By decision, Council supported th e submiss ion of a grant applica tion by H FHMD to
Arapahue Cc,unty to acquire and develop the site into :ght units of pai red ho usi ng. Council agreed to
cons ider HFHMD's request to wa ive buildin~ permi t fees and the fe e in lieu of park land ded ica ti on
associated with this development as part of the City's contributio n to the project at the next Council
meeting. A letter of support dated Jan uary 8, 2008 was signed b y th e Mayor .
On Jun e 18, 2017, Cou ncil approved Re so lution No. 50, Series of 200i, waiving building I rmit fees
associated w ith t~e developm ent of 2079 West Vassa r Aven ue into eigh t paired sin gle farr:'!, homes.

project. As part of the City's contribution to yo ur proj ect , the City Coun cil wi ll consider
