WHEREAS , the South Broadway Eng lewood Busine ss Improve ment District is a special assess ment di stric t designed to improve th e economic \'itality and overall commercial appeal of the South Broadway co nidor in the Ci ty of Englewood , Co lorado to provide programs to busines ses and commercial pro penic s that will include district marketing. promotion s, enha nced safety an d maintenance : and WHEREAS , ·r e South Broadway Englewood Business Imp rove ment Di strict (SB EBID) is managed by a Board of Directors consisting of seven members, all of whom sha ll be South Broadwa y Englewood Bu siness Imp rovemen t Distri ct voting members and rate paye rs, who serve fo r a three (3) year term : and WHEREAS , one additi onal seat, in addition to the seven (7) votin g me mbers , is resetved fo r an ex-Offici o member who is a rep,"sent ati ve of the City of Englewood ; and WHEREAS , the Bo•rd of Directors determines annua l SBEBID priorities and oversees ongoing manage ment J SBEBID programs; a,1d \VHEREAS , th e Board of Directors shall co nsist of a majorit y of real propeny owners, shall be an equitable rep resen tati on of geographic areas, size, type of property and bu si nesses; and WHEREAS , tiie Englewood City Counci l established th e SBEBID Board ofDirectors by the passage of Reso luti on No. 74, Series of 2006: and WHEREAS , there is a vacancy on th e SB EBID Board of Directors; and WHEREAS . the SBEBID Board has nomi nated Vicki Skigen to the Englewood City Counci l fo r approva l: NOW , TH EREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNC IL OF TH E CITY OF E GLEWOO D, COLORADO, TH AT: Section I.
