SERIES OF 2007 A RESOLUTION APPROVING A SUPPLEMENT AL APPROPRIATION TO THE 2007 BUDGET IN THE PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR EXPENDITURES INCURRED TO ENHANCE AND lll '~ROVE THE CITY'S GOLF COURSE . WH EREAS , the City of Englewood is req uired by City Chnner lo ensure th81 ex pen ditures do not exceed legally adopl~-d appropriations; and WHEREAS, the Englewood City Council approved Reso luti on 49, Seri es 2007 which approved an additional $200,000 for additional en vironmental oversigh t during th e construction of the Englewood Golf Course ; and WHEREAS , this supplemental appropriation lo the 2007 Budget for the Public Improvement Fund is requ ired for additional enhancements lo the Englewood Golf Course; NOW,,... RECOMMENDED ACTIUN Staff recommends City Council approve th e attache d Resolution for a supplemental appropriation to pa y for add itional enhancements to th e Golf Course. The addidonal enhancements were discussed with City Council, but formal action to appropriate the r,.julred funds was not brousht forward lo City Council . The Parks and Recreation Department will provide updates If the expansion Is approved . Otherwise the funds will be returned to the balance In the Golf Course Lease. FINANCIAL IMPACT The total ($4,036,000 and $700,000) proceeds from the Go lf Cours e lease and the "other proceeds " were pa id by Miller/Weingarten to the City for the long-te rm use of the Golf Course property. The funds are accounted for in the Public Improvement Fund. A total of $3 ,536,000 rema ins in the PIF, and wi ll remain in the Fund until Council makes a det ermination regarding the use of the funds . UST OF ATTACHMENTS Resolution • • •
