The Town Crier entered the meeting ringin g a bell . I-I C'ar ye. hear ye. hea r le. he sa id . I have been called
forth from lhe pns1 to ring in thi s commemo ration ce lcbmting this. the 100 anniversary of 1he City of
Eng lewood. Colorado . Madam Mayo r. di stinguished me nbers of the City Counci l and the fine citizens of
!his fair Ci ty, he sa id, it gives me great pleasure 10 give vo.-:e to thi s procla mati on. He read the
proclamation decl aring the year 2003 as Eng lewood Jubilee Tl, in i1s entirety. He presented the scroll to the
City Clerk.
Madam Mayo r and honorable members of the City Council, h ; sai d. I also bring forth a li st of nominees for

It is time. he sai d, let the celebration of Englewood Jubilee !I begin . Ringing 1hc bell, the Town Crier left

Mayo r Bradshaw said wow, what el se can you say but wow . We want to thank our Town Crier, Amy Doe•
Torres and Pauletta Punccrclli for putting thi s togethe r, she said.
Mayor Bradshaw advised that last May ou r Englewood Jubilee II coo rdinating committee lau nched the
Citizen of the Centur y project. We asked people 10 non,inate indi vidu als who have made a sig nificant, long
las tin g and his torica l con tributi on 10 the Englewood co mmunity. By the deadline of November I". 24
nominati nm1 were sub mitted. resulting in 15 nominees . Some individual s were nor.inalcd more than once.
Toni ght, she said . we wi ll find out who those indi vidua ls are. Over th e next few month s, the Eng lewood
Jubil ~c II Commiuce wi ll have more events.
Ma yor Brad shaw said the names are in alphabetical order . Whal I would like 10 do . she sa id , is read the
name of the nominee and then I am also going to read the name of the peop le wh o nominated that person . I
