Pledge or Allegiance Boy Scout Troo p 72, from VFW Post 322 and the Eng lewood Elks Lodge, presented the Co lors and led the Pledge of Allegiance. (ii) Co uncil Member Moo re: I. He said I have as ked Gary Sca rs to loo k into a situ ati on on Emerso n, wh ere the prope rty ha s been vacant fo r 25 years . Som e nei ghbo rs ha ve co mplained about it being used by tran s:ents for temporary hous ing. 2. He sa id the property at 32 36 So uth Lafayette is a "for rent" plB cc, it is empty and there are branches and everything just strewn about . Ma yo r Brad shaw said that is by Ch arl es Ha y. Co uncil Member Moo re sai d yes. Chy Manager Scars said we will do 11 foll ow-up on that. (iii) Council Member Garrell said the las t day I loo ked at this was Wednesday , but the mi cro-s urfacing on the street just west of Delaware on Quincy , on the south side , loo ks like it cracked open . Council Member Nabhol 2. said it is on my street too . It came down Ch ero kee in the 3000 block , and down Camell to Delaware . They have one huge scrape that they tried to pa t vith sand and more asphalt and it is horribl e. It is a bad stretch th ere , she said . City Manager Sears said I will have Ken Ro ss take a look at both or those . . .... Mayo r Bradshaw sa id 1hc thing I forg ot to menti on was abo ut 1hc 2800 bloc k of South Bannoc k. We do ha ve th at mediati on service and I think . probabl y. th at is where that group needs to go. Cit y Manager Scars as ked if thi s is in regard to Pat Archer. Mayor Brad sha w said yes. Director Olso n said Lieutc:nant Collin s can talk about th at. beca use as I understand it , so far she does n't want 10 n~-:diate . Is that correc t? City Manager's Report (a) City Mana ger Sears sa id the two dates to look at fo r th e Publ ic Forum are the 24111 and the 26111• As the rece ption with the Chamber is the 26111 , pe rh aps we should set the Forum for the 24111• (b) City Manager Sears said Council Me mber Moore did ask us to do a foll ow-up and we have li sled it as a short-term, so the full Co unci l will get the in fo rm ation ou the Emerso n pro pcny , but it is a very comple x prope rty. It goes bac k 10 th e Project Build iss ue s th at we have had in th e past ... that we don't ha ve an ymore . Bob Simp so n is taking a look at so me other alternati ves fo r acqui siti on of that, but that will probabl y be co min g back to th e Co unci l. It is a prett y run down propeny that ha s so me po tenti al 10 it , he said , but unfortunately, we don't have the reve nu e th at we had at one po int in tim e.
