He DOied, we bad the budget done befon: they got their proposal back to us but ii is something we need and we need to have ii installed as part of this project. He explained that it needs to be upgiadcd in size because of the additional units that are go;ng on al the plant as part of the construction project . Mayor Burns asked if available funding was in the operating budget as the memo says. Bums Nays : None (iii) Director Fonda presented a recommendation from the Littleton/Englewood WastcwaterTrcatmcnl Plant Supervisory Commillce to approve, by motion, an expc:nditun: ofSI00,000.00 lo complete a pn:viously approved contract for cleaning the anaerobic digcstm. Mr. For.da stated Ibey had already cleaned one and U1is cleaning goes hand in hand with the timing of the contractor. The lint one cost $65,000.00 and these lhn:c will cost about $33 ,000 .00 a piece. The difference in cost is that the first one had io be cleaned out by the contractor, but we now have new equipment installed and the digester is part of the contract...thal he won 't have to clean them out He won 't have to remove the sludge before he docs the ultimate cleaning . Then: is a lot of sludge n:moval involved . Council Member Habenicht asked how this will affc:cl odor control at the plant. Mr. Fonda said the digcstm don't have a lot 10 do with odor control , U1cy 'n:just a pr0CC55 unit. Ms . Habenicht said okay. Mayor Burns asked if the funds are available in the operating bud gel and the sewer funds .
