with the redevelopment and has sccn a copy of the c:onocpt plan that Skip Miller has gi,'Cn to tbc Council. •
He r=gniztd that the plan is not binding, and expressed a,nccms 'Mth the large parlting lot back<d up
by big box development. He opined that, while ruail and c:nlctlaimncnt will hc good for sales ~•
m-cnuc, there arc some thing:; that Council can do "ith the devcloplllcnt to make it bcltcr. He cited other
developmen ts in the area that arc not anracti,-c. Mr. Fowler said he would like 10 sec parks and gncn
space where you can he romfonnble with yoor wnily. He suggested a,ntinuing the canal passage through
the devel op ment, \\i th statues and places fo, <x>occns. He feels this would be feasible and still allow for
the 400,000 square fee t of retail and entertainment space . Mr. Fowler en couraged Council to go forward
\\ith the redevelopment of Cinderella City and make sure that the plan is something that the citizens of
Englewood will like . He said he woold like to= public m=ings where citizens can express their
opinions on what they would like to= there. Finally, he asked Council to make the City ofEoglcwood
proud, because this is ao opponunity lo build something hcautiful and nice . He asked 10 be in,-oh-cd in
the process and the public meetings .

responded that you would put out an RFP or an RFQ, just like you would for a professional engineer.

We will still go with just one planner, he said , but his or her scope will be, not only site specific, but al!O
do some general land use planning as far north as the General Iron Works area. do some tnflic analysis

Council Member Hathaway asked if that was wbcrc Bob Simpson was coming from, that the $80,000 was
more or less appropriated already. City Manager Clark responded that wa:; basicall y for that option three
