Mayor Burns sa id tha t the process may go through the summ er. He related 11-,1 he has a draft of a lcuer from Englewood 's two senators to Mark Hatfield. Ms-Hathaway reminded Council that. some time back . an inquiry was made about the City's policy for naming parks . It was found that there is no clear policy in that regard . She said that she discussed renaming Bates/Logan or Jason Parle after John Krcil ing and she would like. now, to draft a policy before renaming any more of the parks . She said that City Anorncy Brotzman will be working on that. 2. She said she has had a inquiry abou t the lack of parlcing enforcement in the HOO block of South Pen OS) Iv, ma Street and around Swedish Hospital. Ms. Hathaway stated that she has asked City Auomcy Brotzman 10 initiate an evaluation of bo.1rds and co mmissions regarding whether they shouJd all rema in in effect. whether they arc ad\1sory boards , and who has responsibility for intcr\ic111 and appointments to those boards and commissions. Since the (jt:t• is currently advenising for citizens 10 fill vaca ncies . she feels that now is th e. time 10 clear up some or these issues.
