He asked for infonna tion on the Project BU ILD homes. (ii) Council Member Habenicht advised that someone raised a cona:m about the color of buildings . She s.1id Council has discussed 1his in the past and talked about , instead or doing something with 1.oning. tl1.1t lhcy have businesses help conlrol some of the colors. such as lhe shocking pink or lime green . Ms . Habenicht just wanted to lcl Council know that people arc talking about the nppcarnn cc of certain business areas bcc:lusc of the prolfferntion of .. psychcdclic" co lors . She felt tnal it is something Council ca n look at as they look at the Comprchensi\'c Zoning or somet:iing that they could discuss with various business groups, such as the Chamber of Commerce and EDDA . Co uncil Member Hathaway st ated there arc some design and co lor guidelines for the whole dov.11town reg ion . She noted we do not enforce them., but they arc there . In response to Mayor Bums. Ms . Hathaway explained th,11 the guide lin es originated from the EDDA . bul the City kind of subscribed to 1hcm Co un ci l Member Habenicht said th.at she understands that some of 1he colors e.-..;1end beyond do\\11tow11 , there is a real concern abou t it and she is not sure wh.11 the next ste p is. She wondered if the Cily could use some of those monies to help some of lhc businesses come up with better color schemes. Mayor Bums directed staff to look into it and bring Council up 10 speed on the issue . 13 . City Manager's R,port (a) City Manager Clark presented a status report on the redevelopment of Cinderclla City . He stated the Neighborhood and Business Dcvclopmcn1 Di\ision has been negotiating \\ith Miller• Kitchell . Mr. Clark advised that Equit.ablc has completed their environmental studies and that infommtion has been turned O\'cr 10 Miller-Kitchell for puqx,scs of due diligence . Negotiations between the City and Mercantile continue . Also , he no1cd. the negotiations between Wards and Miller-Kitchell con tinue . (b) Cily Manager Clark recommended Council go into Exccuti\'C Sess io n immedi ately following the regul ar City Council meeting to discuss a real CSlillc trans.1c1ion.
